Our Sessions

Nurseries, Primary Schools & Secondary Schools

Nurseries, Primary Schools & Secondary Schools

We provide Forest School sessions at different schools and nurseries across Surrey.

Are you looking to enhance your curriculum? We love to run forest school sessions in schools and nurseries, giving the children the opportunity to experience the benefits of developing their skills in community, nature, supported risks, natural crafts, fire safety, cooking and much, much more!

Would you like The Full SET Forest School Leader to run a session/s at your school or nursery?  We would love to hear from you - contact us for prices/availability and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

After-school clubs

After-School clubs

The after-school Forest School Clubs are held in outdoor learning areas of a school.

The children are collected from their classroom at the end of the school day and taken to the club. When the after-school club finishes, parents/carers should collect their children at the school gate.

In our sessions, we carry out a range of activities, including crafting with natural resources, bug hunting, planting, creating in mud kitchens, fire-lighting, tool use, games and much more.

Your child will need to bring a snack (no nuts please) and a water bottle.

The Full SET Forest School Leader use the weather forecast from BBC Weather and The Met Office. If the weather is deemed unsafe, (thunder/lighting/high winds), the session will be held indoors, as long as the school has a space available.

When booking the after-school clubs, you are committing to the term. A course will not go ahead unless a minimum of eight participants have booked in.

Cancellation: payments are non-refundable if the customer cancels less than 7 days before the start date. In the event a session is cancelled by us (due, for example, to dangerous weather conditions and an alternative indoor space not being available, minimum participants not signed up for the course or unforeseen circumstances), the customer will be notified a minimum of 24 hours beforehand and will receive a refund for the session cancelled. Please allow 3-5 days for a refund to go through. We are unable to refund any sessions not attended.

Would you like The Full SET Forest School Leader to run an after-school club at your school?

There is a ratio of one Forest School Leader to eight children. To ensure the forest after-school club can go ahead, we need a minimum of eight participants. There is a possibility of taking more children, depending on availability of a Forest School Assistant. Maddi works with a some other Forest School Leaders and Assistants so she can advise on availability. Another option is that a member of staff from the school can be the extra adult to ensure we are at the correct ratio.

We would love to hear from you - contact us for prices/availability and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Stay & Play
Holiday Clubs

Holiday Clubs

If we are not running our own Forest School Holiday Club Day, we offer Forest School sessions at other providers' holiday clubs across Surrey. We can provide either a 2-hour session (10am-12pm) or a 4-hour session (10am-2pm).

Would you like The Full SET Forest School Leader to run a session at your holiday club or do you have a site that we could run a holiday club? We would love to hear from you - contact us for prices/availability and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Stay & Play

Occasionally we run Stay & Play sessions at Echelforde Care Home, TW15 2XG.

Our Stay & Play sessions are aimed at children crawling/walking-7 years (siblings under 12 months go free with a full-paying child). Older siblings are welcome to join the fun in school holidays.

These are enjoyable sessions for the children to experience alongside their parent/carer and the residents. Please ensure no more than one adult attends these sessions with their child/children - this is due to limited space/resources.

It is an opportunity to be part of the community, explore the garden, meet with other parents/carers and residents. These inter-generational sessions can have wonderful benefits for all. Not only do the children thrive from being outside with the freedom of choice, but it also gives the parents/carers and residents the opportunity to observe and/or join in with the fun.

Sometimes the small resident dog Binky joins in too.

Opportunities and experiences are available for the children to choose from. Some examples are: painting with natural resources, such as beetroot juice/carrot juice/mud; crafting with natural resources, such as making pinecone spiders; messy play, bug hunting, mud kitchen, fire-lighting, small tool use and much more.   Each session is 1 hour long and tea/coffee is included in the price. There will be a small snack by the fire towards the end of the session.

Parking at the care home is very limited so please ensure you leave plenty of time to find alternative spaces in the high street or nearby residential roads before the session starts.  Clothes could get dirty or wet, so please do not come in your Sunday best! Ideally, the session will be held outside in the lovely garden area. *PLEASE NOTE SEPTEMBER - APRIL THE SESSIONS WILL BE HELD BETWEEN INDOORS AND OUTDOORS DUE TO THE COLDER WEATHER. IF IT IS RAINING, IT WILL BE HELD INDOORS WITH NO FIRE.

There may be different opportunities and experiences for the children in different parts of the garden and day centre, so please ensure you stay with your child at all times.  If the weather is unsuitable for the residents to be outside, the session will be moved into the day centre. To keep Echelforde Care Home looking beautiful and the environment safe and clean, please take all rubbish home with you. To ensure the Stay & Play can go ahead, we need a minimum of 10 participants. Please help support our small business and spread the word.
